Art Scholarship Information Session for Students and Parents
.webp)
Phillips’ Mill, in conjunction with its Youth Art Exhibition, is hosting an information session for high school students interested in pursuing an arts education. Parents are welcome.
The program will focus on how to find and apply for scholarships, with an emphasis on the Jim Hamilton Memorial ShadFest Scholarship, which awards two $10,000 scholarships a year to high school seniors living in the South Hunterdon Regional and New Hope-Solebury sending districts.
Morgan Grabarz, a member of the ShadFest Scholarship review committee and a former Youth Art Exhibition participant and two-time ShadFest scholarship recipient, will share her journey to becoming a fashion designer and discuss the details and requirements of this and other scholarship opportunities.
Sarah Reeder, M.A., NCC, College & Career Readiness Counselor at New Hope-Solebury High School and College Specialist for Solutions for Education will present information on additional art scholarships available to all students and will provide basic scholarship advice.
Attendees will have the chance to enjoy the 12th Annual Youth Art Exhibition, which showcases the works of high school students from 24 area schools and includes paintings, works on paper, sculpture, photography and digital artwork.
This event is free, but registration is required.
