APRIL 21 - 28, 2024
Sun, Wed & Thurs, 1-5 pm • Fri & Sat, 1-8 pm
Our second photo exhibition of the year, the “Not Your Run of the Mill” Photo Show, presented by the Phillips' Mill Photo Committee, showcases the work of our volunteers, who work so hard every year to produce the prestigious annual juried Phillips’ Mill Photographic Exhibition.
Now in its fourth year, the “Not Your Run of the Mill" Photo Show” was a dream that finally became a reality during the pandemic. It was at that time that the volunteers/photographers who produce the annual juried Phillips’ Mill Photographic Exhibition unified to create something quite exceptional: a cohesive collection of work by a creative group of photo-oriented Mill members.

About the Show
The Phillips’ Mill Photo Committee is a blend of seasoned veterans and energetic newcomers. In 2021, in response to ongoing COVID-19 guidelines, they opted to forgo a juried show of prints on the wall and instead produce a singular, potent force of digital imagery. The “Not Your Run of the Mill Photo Show” was born!
Each of the 29 image makers represented in that inaugural show had a personal and emotional connection and commitment to the broad professional craft of photographic arts. That is still true today. The group’s core hallmark to present the strongest of personal work is clearly reflected in each artist’s work. Some refined, developed and went deeper into a look, one they may have constructed over decades, while others experimented with new work.
What makes this show so unique is that artists are given the freedom to use photography to speak at length with the infectious visual medium. A declarative statement, a soft emotion, a composite or creation that stirs the soul or ignites a memory/dream, all wonderful in their freshness.
