The 95th Annual Juried Art Show at Phillips' Mill committee invites you to submit an artistic representation of our historic Mill for consideration as our signature image for this year's show. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your talent and gain a wider awareness of your work. The image selected will be used on posters, ads, invitations, postcards, social media, banners and on the Phillips' Mill website, in short, on all marketing, publicity and advertising materials for this milestone art show.
The winning artist will receive a $400 honorarium and the artwork will be featured for sale at the annual juried show. (The winning artist is free to submit additional entries to the show as outlined in the show’s prospectus.) This is a dynamic opportunity for high visibility of your work, your style, and your name within our community of collectors.

- Promotion in the Mill’s social media
- Promotion of the artist and image on the Mill's ArtTalk program
- Potential for the artist to be profiled in local media
Previous years' images have included whimsical as well as traditional depictions of the Mill and its surroundings. Collages, watercolors, oils and acrylics have all been chosen, so artists should feel free to use their favorite medium, other than photography, to show us their vision of the Mill, inside or out. We encourage artists of all cultural backgrounds to submit their work and to follow their inspirations, traditional or contemporary, representational or abstract. INSTRUCTIONS:
- Submissions accepted: March 1- March 19, 2024 at 5 pm. This deadline is firm. No grace periods. No exceptions. Please be prompt.
- Artwork does not need to be framed but should be matted if appropriate. NOTE: If selected as the winning image, the artwork will need to be framed prior to exhibiting at the annual juried show.
- Email a high-resolution jpeg of your work to signatureimage@phillipsmill.org between March 1 and March 19 at 5 p.m., the submission period noted above.
- Provide the title, size, and medium of the piece, as well as your name, address, phone number, and email address on the back of your work.
- Please do NOT sign your submission on the front. If selected, you may add your signature to the front and provide a new high-resolution image for use in our marketing materials.
- There is no submission fee.
GUIDELINES:
- One submission per artist
- Artists must reside within a 25-mile radius of Phillips' Mill Community Association, 2619 River Road, New Hope, PA 18938.
- Artists whose work was selected for the signature image over the past two years are ineligible. After a two-year waiting period, those artists are welcome to submit again.
- Submissions must be original, two-dimensional works.
- Drawing, watercolor, oil, acrylic, gouache, pastel, collage, mixed media, woodcut, etching, silkscreen, and other media are eligible, with the exception of photography, digital artwork, giclee or any similar reproductions.
- Artwork must be for sale.
- Artist must be at least 18 years old.
- Work must not have been exhibited at previous Phillips’ Mill juried art exhibitions.
- Size: Max: 50” on the longest side (when framed); Min: 8” x 10” (when framed.)
After a preliminary review, finalists will be selected and notified by email on March 22. Instructions will be provided for dropping off the original artwork for in-person review by the full Art Committee at Phillips’ Mill on Wednesday, March 27, at 9:00 a.m. The winning artist will be notified by phone and email on or before March 30.
Winners will be asked to keep the news confidential until the Mill has had an opportunity to make a formal announcement. The winning image will be revealed and announced through the press, on our website, in social media, and in our monthly Grist newsletter.
